Monthly Archives: June 2014

Wow, has it been that long??

So I really can’t believe that it has been over 8 months since I have posted anything on here.  That has GOT to change!

There have been so many changes in the last year that I am having trouble keeping up.  Those of you who don’t know already, I am now working at The Quilting Bee Quilt Shop in Fonthill, and have been since December.  However what started out as a casual part-time position in December quickly turned into a full-time quilting job in January.  It came at the perfect time and I love love love my job, but there have certainly been some adjustments after working from home for nearly 10 years!

Some of the awesome experiences that I have already had were working at Creative Festival in April, visiting Quilt Market in Pittsburgh in May and most recently working at Quilt Canada in June. I am very fortunate to work with an amazingly talented group of ladies that I can proudly say have quickly become my mentors and friends.

I decided to post a little update when I “googled” a fabric line that I have used in the past and some images of my students popped up on the screen-that was cool.  So it kind of reminded me of why I had decided to start a blog in the first place.  It is to document my sewing/quilting endeavors!  Also, I figure if I commit to blogging more then I’d better have something to show.

So look forward to more blogging and quilty photos in the near future, I have a lot of UFOs to work on!  Also, for the sewing student parents out there, I will keep in touch as to how the sewing lessons will evolve with my new schedule.
